The Wildcats of Camden County came up a little short in a well fought out game against the Vikings of Lowndes County.  The game had plenty of action,  big plays,  scoring, hard hits and some chippie moments especially at the end of the game. The final score was 27 to 21 with Lowndes the Victor tonight.

Region 1  Class 6A

So it continues for region supremacy !!

It as a very competitive football game on 10/3/14. The difference was the numerous turn overs by Lowndes County which cost them the football game.  This was a very hard hitting football game which is typical for South Georgia Football. I feel that the Class 6A State Champion will come from Region 1 this year because this region has the best teams this year. This region has already set a high school record by going 29 and 0 as a region prior to this past Friday night. For the North Georgia High School Football Fans, if you get a chance, travel to South Georgia this season and see some of these talented teams down there. I assure you that you will not be disappointed.

This was an outstanding game!! The game was not as one sided as the score would leave you to believe. It was a dog fight and was not decided until the fourth quarter!!!

Upset of the Oregon Ducks by the Arizona Wildcats


The final score to the contest last night was 31 to 24 with Arizona the victor. This upset came as no surprise to me because defense wins championships. Overall, Arizona's defense was stout enough to hold the Ducks to 24 points which is not an easy task to accomplish for most teams. If Arizona's offense eliminated some of their turn overs, the game would not have been as close. Due to these turn overs early in the game, Arizona's offense allowed the Ducks to stay in the game. Fortunately, Arizona righted their ship and the offense performed better in the second half. All and all, this was a great contest between two great PAC teams.

This was a chippie football game because both teams were competing for state pride!!!

This game had plenty of highlights of football and bands!!!
